HOW THE NAME CAME TO BE...
Rustic Banjo was inspired by my late grandmother Nell or as everyone called her "Banjo". She was a free spirited woman who loved music and art and well you guessed it the banjo. From a young age she shared this passion with me. Who I have become today is greatly influenced by Nell. I wanted her legacy to continue through Rustic Banjo Photography. A little bit southern, a little bit hippie, and a whole lot of creativity. My mission is to continue to spread the love and kindness she shared with everyone and build not only client relationships but lasting memories.

My name is Clara Trimmer I opened Rustic Banjo Photography back in 2018 in Colorado. I started as a concert photographer and since have expanded my portfolio to portrait and events as well. I have a wide variety of shoots under my belt, but I am always looking to learn and improve. In my daily life I am a momma to my sweet boy and my baby girl and married my wonderful husband. Photography is my passion and dream turned into a reality. I am primarily a western lifestyle and rodeo photographer.

The FAQ
Do you Travel?
We do have the option for travel in the state of Colorado. There is an upcharge for distances greater than 15 miles from our base location. They will be addressed at planning sessions.
How long have you been doing this?
Rustic Banjo was started in 2018. We recently relocated back to Colorado in 2024.
How many photos do we get?
This Depends on the Session you pick. Minimum is 10 edited images with the option to purchase full gallery. With the exception of mini sessions.
How do we get our photos?
Photos will be delivered in an online gallery.
Do you retouch photos?
Yes! You will receive at minimum 10 retouched images from your session.
Whats your turn around time?
I pride myself on a quick turnaround time while still making sure that your pictures are good quality. Typically turn around is within 2 weeks if this is any different you will be informed at session.
How do we book you?
You can reach out to me via email to book. I also will have links to mini sessions as they get scheduled.
Can you help us with planning?
Absolutely! A complimentary planning session is offered when booking to go over details to make sure your session is exactly what you want.
How far out do you book?
I currently book a season in advance for your first pick in times and locations. We do accept last minute bookings however spaces may be limited.
What should we do for an engagement session?
If you are looking to book a secret Engagement session I would be happy to help! This will include a private planning session to go over all the details surrounding your plans to propose to make sure we capture every detail you are looking for.
What should we wear?
I advise to look into best outfits for different seasons Pinterest is awesome for this. I do have a compilation of color ideas and outfit ideas per season and venue if you are interested.
